How the process works
For a new pour or overlay, we place and finish the concrete, add integral color if specified, then press stamping mats into the surface while it's still plastic to create the pattern before it cures. Acid staining, when used, is applied after the slab cures and reacts chemically with the concrete for a mottled, variegated look that never looks painted-on.
Every decorative finish is sealed with a UV-stable sealer rated for high desert sun exposure — the single biggest factor in whether a stamped pattern holds its color for years or fades within a couple of Tucson summers.
